Based on the exhortation of Deuteronomy 6:6-9, SMIC Academy is a church-based, family-centered, discipleship ministry that assists homeschool parents in fulfilling their calling to home educate their children according to the Christ-centered, Biblical worldview.

Asbury Academy is based out of Birmingham, Alabama. We are an inclusive homeschool cover and welcome members from across the state. We were founded in 1995 as East Lake United Methodist Academy and changed our name to Asbury Academy in 2002.

We’re a legal church school for families with students in grades K5-12. Almost everything can be done online, so that we can enroll families across the state. We currently do not hold any co-op classes or sponsor any field trips. We are located in Pell City and primarily serve the Talladega and St. Clair counties, though we are open for statewide enrollments.

We believe you are the best teacher for your children, so Outlook Academy asks only for what the law requires yet offers support for your personal choices. We respect your privacy as well as your right to direct your children’s education unencumbered by restrictions. Outlook Academy is based in Millbrook, Alabama, but accepts members statewide.
