General Description:
Cahaba Academy is a ministry of First Baptist Church of Trussville, Alabama. We exist to help families as they seek to educate their children in a homeschool environment. We offer many services and encourage our families as they seek to educate their children. Our goal is to minister to families through connections and community building for both students and parents.
Mission Statement:
Cahaba Academy operates as a ministry of First Baptist Church Trussville and exists to support, strengthen, and connect homeschool families for God’s glory. As a church school, our goal is to provide support, connect families, provide educational and relational opportunities, bring glory to God, and minister to each other during the homeschool journey, while providing legal covering.
Requirements:
- Attendance at two faculty meetings a year
- Submission of Grades and Attendance twice a year
- Students must attend at least 160 days of school each year
- HSLDA Membership for all members
Services
- File Church School Enrollment Form to local School Board
- Issue transcripts and other documents when necessary
- Provide Special Events, Field Trips, Individual Classes for a variety of subjects and ages
- Kindergarten and High School Graduations
- Curriculum Library
- Optional Standardized Testing
- Provide Support and Community for our Families
Fees
- $150.00 Enrollment Fee-Yearly
- HSLDA Membership Fee-Discount through our group
- Field trips and Special Events may require a small fee per event
- Cahaba Plus Classes have fees per class
- Statement of Faith: NOT required.
- HSLDA: REQUIRED.
