Our purpose is to minister to the needs of homeschooling families with high school students and their younger children. Our goals for achieving our purpose are: to broaden the scope of home-based education by combining parents’ talents and resources, to provide homeschooled children with the opportunity to participate with others in group activities, to offer an economical means of enriching homeschoolers’ educational experiences, to enable homeschooling families to form supportive relationships with other homeschoolers, and to fulfill the mission of the church in winning others and making disciples for Christ.
Academy Days is a parent-led co-op offering small classes for preschool through high school homeschoolers in subjects that are difficult to teach at home or best taught in group settings.
Enrolled families manage this organization and contribute to its success, so parent participation is mandatory. If your child is at Co-op, then you must be present too, serving as a helper, teacher, or in some other capacity.
Does one need to be a member of any particular faith? If so what?
No, but guidelines are based on Biblical precepts, and classes are taught from a Christian world view.
Is there a Dress Code?
Parents and students should wear appropriate modest clothing.
