General Description:

Faith Community Christian School is a ministry of Faith Community Fellowship located in Trussville, AL. In the summer of 2005, two homeschooling moms were searching for just the right cover school for their families. After talking with several other schools, it came to their attention that the Trussville area was in need of a good cover school and an administrator from another group walked them through starting their own group.

Here we are eleven years later, and FCCS has grown to be a wonderful group with over sixty families. We offer parties, play days, transcript maintenance, online grade reporting, field trips, art clubs, science and music clubs to name a few. Also, a very important part of our mission: we offer support.

Requirements:

Enrollment in FCCS is open to all homeschooling households that are committed to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and are in agreement with our doctrinal statement as well as our policies, procedures, and standards. FCCS is an equal opportunity program and does not exclude families from enrollment in its programs and activities based on race, color, nationality, or ethnic origin.
FCCS requests that each teacher and student maintain Scriptural/Christian standards in courtesy, kindness, honesty, morality, modest attire; strive to be of unquestionable character in conduct and dress; always acting in a very orderly and respectful manner. Students are expected to abide by these standards throughout their enrollment whether at home, at school activities, or elsewhere. Students found to be out of harmony with the Scriptural principles of work and life may be invited to withdraw whenever the general welfare of the reputation of Jesus Christ and/or FCCS is diminished.

Services:

The programs of FCCS are geared directly to the needs of parents and children who have chosen home schooling as an educational alternative. FCCS assists parents by offering them a system of encouragement and support; a framework of structure and direction; a point of academic reference; a means of accountability; and a resource of information and training.
FCCS offers children access to group activities and learning experiences that enhance their academic, social, physical, and emotional development. The program includes but is not limited to group classes, standardized achievement tests, play days, and field trips. We also offer parties, play days, transcript maintenance, online grade reporting, field trips, art clubs, science and music clubs to name a few. Also, a very important part of our mission: we offer support.
